The Human Sundial Shadow Science Experiment

We have been learning how shadows are created when light is blocked.

Shadows form on the opposite side to a light source because light travels in straight lines.

As it has been a clear, sunny day, we have been tracing the shadow of one person in the same place at four different points throughout the day. Here are some photos and also a table.

What has happened to the length of the shadow throughout the day?

Try to explain why the shadow changed using the information at the start of this Blog post.
