This afternoon the school nurse came to visit us as part of our Staying Alive topic. We learnt about the eat well plate and some useful information about how to eat healthy meals.

We have been busy creating our better Bearwood buildings. We have covered our buildings and experimented with mixing paints to paint them.

The seeds are back on Earth!!

At 04:26am on Tuesday 2^nd March, Commander Scott Kelly of NASA and Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko and Sergey Volkov of Roscosmos landed safely back on Earth in Kazakhstan. The seeds then travelled with Scott Kelly to NASA in Houston on a charter flight from Moscow, Russia and returned to the UK on Thursday. We are now getting ready to pack them up so they can be sent to you with your Rocket Science experiment pack in April!

Year 3 need to be ready to look after and grow our seeds from space so that we can help the astronauts with their experiment!

What will we have to do to make sure that we are looking after our seeds correctly?

Possessive apostrophes are used when someone owns something or when all of the people own it. You will not need an apostrophe  in the following sentence because there are lots of Vikings. The Vikings charged to the side of the ship.

So now I will show you when to use an apostrophe in a sentence where a person owns something. The Viking’s bow and arrow is used for shooting enemies.

Now I will show you how to use an apostrophe in a sentence  when all of the people own something. All the Vikings’ ships have a figure head to scare their enemies .

So that is how you use possessive apostrophes.
