On a very hot Tuesday 5th July, 3S and 3J thoroughly enjoyed competing in various activities while parents watched. Take a look at some photos!
We have read Dick King-Smith’s book ‘A Mouse called Wolf’ in 3S. The musical mouse is named after the famous classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
At the end of the book, it suggests two pieces of music that you could listen to. Here they are:
Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music)
Mozart’s Sonata in C Major, K,330 played by Daniel Barenboim
Show your understanding of numbers and number bonds and have fun on these web links:

Last year, you should have learned how to tell the time to quarter of an hour at least, as this photo shows:
Check you can do this at least, then revise telling it to 5 minutes, e.g. 6:20 or 1:55.
This half term, we will be reading it to the nearest minute, e.g. 4:21 or 12:03.
Today, we also discussed a.m (ante meridian ~ before midday or before noon) and p.m. (post meridian ~ after midday or after noon). Is 12:00 midnight a.m. or p.m…?

On Friday 1st April, we visited the historic Aston Hall. We had a fantastic guide called Katie who helped us learn while we explored this beautiful local building. We became history detectives, discovering different kinds of rooms and looking at objects/artefacts from the past to work out what they were for. Take a look at the photos. Try to name the rooms and what you saw and learnt in each one.
On Thursday 24th March, we had a fantastically fun time revisiting our learning about the Ancient Egyptians and discovering some new strange facts! The energetic and hilarious Professor McGinty helped us travel back in time and learn what it must have been like at that time.
