Measuring

Estimate:
how tall is the door into the classroom is…
the distance from one end of the playground to the other is…
how tall you are…
how tall your parents are…

Which unit of measurement will you use?

Have a look at our photos of using tape measures to measure the distance we could throw a coit. What is Nahum showing us?

Talk Homework – Bradley Chalkers

Talk Homework

Bradley Chalkers

The class novel we are reading at the moment is called ‘There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom’. It’s main character is a boy called Bradley Chalkers, who sits in the last seat, in the last row of his classroom.

The children will be writing a letter to Carla, the new school counsellor , talking about what things are like at school, and how he is feeling about things at home.

The children need to try hard to get into role as Bradley Chalkers, and write as if they were in his position.

Which writing tricks can they use, to improve the quality of their writing?
