Talk Homework….BIG!

Imagine you wake up one morning and you are a grown up! What would you do? On Friday you are going to write a story about waking up as a adult.

We have stolen this idea from a movie called BIG and I bet your family will remember this movie from 1988 with Tom Hanks. Ask them about it…

Here are a few clips to watch from the movie to inspire your writing.

Literacy

Today in Literacy we were challenged to make an explanation booklet.  4D are writing booklets for 4P and vice versa.  I wonder which class will make the most factual explanation booklet? Today we used our planning power and began to research.

What are you putting in your booklet?

Numeracy by Jayden

In Numeracy today we made a fraction shop. Furthermore, we made and picked our own challenges and then we picked a price.  We had to divide bottom and times by the top.  I enjoyed it because I got to try lots of different questions.  My favourite question was a 1/5 off.  What was your favourite challenge question?

Topic by Simran

In Topictoday we made our own game and we are just getting started on it. Its really fun and I’m doing a game where you have to untangle the hair. When you’re done you press the buzzer and the hair lights up with glitter on it. Finally, you pick a crown and wear it till the end of the day.

What are you making for your game? [slideshow]
