ing+ly, openers

Try writing ‘ing ly,’ openers here.

Examples:

Scrabbling frantically, Josh finished his exam answer just as time ran out.

Sweating profusely, Tim tried to crack the code on the rocket launch desk.

Skipping merrily, Maveish entered the fairground.

Grinning widely, Jake accepted his football trophy after receiving ‘Man of the match’.

Whispering quietly, Amy asked the Libarian for her favourite book.

Laughing hysterically, Sana watched as her sister did a silly dance.

Feel free to use my openers and change the end of the sentence, or see if you can think of your own.

Today 4M came up with a whole list of possible ing+ly openers.

Here are our ideas for starters to help you.

Listening intently,

Giggling merrily,

Dancing gracefully,

Reading quietly,

Creeping suspiciously,

Tip-toeing slowly,

Skipping joyfully,

Kicking madly,

Boxing fiercely,

Fighting viciously,

Smiling innocently,

Singing melodically,

Laughing hysterically,

Crying softly,

Screaming noisily,

Chatting nervously,

Balancing carefully,

Flying magically,

Waiting patiently,

Jumping triumphantly

This is our first attempt to use our newly acquired filming and editing skills on our own.

For some reason the videos are slightly too large when embedded in the blog so the right hand side is chopped off. If you click the title of the video (on top left hand corner of screen) you can view it at the vimeo site you can see it in full size.

A fun morning filming by Mya

Today we have been very busy in class. After numeracy we had to be independent learners and enquirers. Some of us were making powerpoints to show what he have learned in science about adaptation. Others were filming their habitats documentaries.  But it was definitely worth it because we have learned loads and we will share the documentaries on the blog when they are edited.

Most of us were filming with Miss Martindale in front of the green screen that Dom taught us how to use during the film project. Now we have learned so much that we can use the green screen on our own! It was great fun to help Miss set up the lights and the screen. Once our documentaries are done they will guaranteed be fascinating enough that they will be on the blog! You will be blown away by them and if you are please comment on the blog to let us know, that will really make our day!
