Our chocolate has been eaten…

Now that the chocolate project is over, we would love to know:

What was your favourite part of the project?

What would you like to do again?

What would you differently?

How are you going to remember what you have learnt?

What did you learn that you didn’t know before?

How the eye works.

As part of our ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ topic we will be learning how the eye works. These videos may help you.
They go into more detail than we will learn, so don’t worry if you find some of the information tricky to understand.

W+K and Aardman Animations broke a Guinness World Record for ‘smallest stop-motion animation character in a film’ with ‘Dot’.
Dot is just 9mm tall.
This is amazing!

Get Talking, Get Learning!

Literacy- After the half term holiday we shall be starting a new unit of play scripts. Please try to find out the features of play scripts. How are they written? What is the layout like? What punctuation is used?
See if you can find some play scripts on the internet to have a look at.

Try looking at this website to help you:

In numeracy we will be working on place value for the first week. We will be recapping place value in numbers with up to five digits. Check the you know the value of each digit in a number and practice partitioning, ordering and rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and 100.
We will then move on to look at decimal numbers.

What is a decimal number? How do we round decimal numbers?
Practise placing decimal numbers on a number line.
