It’s Children in Need on Friday.  This week we are going to be learning about why we raise money for Children in Need.  Have a look at the website to prepare for your learning.

  1. I knew this before i went on the link in 2009 Aston Merrygold did a back flip on the children in need show an got over £1000.

  2. We just went on the website and we found out that other people are giving money by making stuffed teddy bears and selling them.

  11. Her mum couldn’t afford to replace the mattress. Thanks to your support and the money you raised, Buttle UK were able to provide Chloe and her sisters with a new bed so she no longer falls asleep in school and doesn’t have to cover up her skin for fear of being bullied.

  12. This is were the money goes.The money you have raised so far has been distributed to many different organisations. Every year, thanks to public donations and the amazing efforts of fundraisers, schools, businesses and our corporate partners.

  13. How much money did BBC Children in Need 2010 raise?

    BBC Children in Need raised just over £18 million on the night thanks to the generosity of our supporters. In the months following Appeal Night money raised from fundraisers, schools and businesses around the UK as well as donations continued to pour in and we will be awarding over £40 million to projects supporting children and young people this year.

  14. Leo, 3, has a rare eye disease and could have gone blind. At a regular nursery, he could easily get hurt. His mum found it difficult taking him to a mainstream baby group and remembers thinking he’d never play.

    He now goes to Dorton House Nursery for visually impaired children where he can play safely and get help to improve his sight before it’s too late.

  17. The charity helps childeren in the world to feel more confident and independent in life. On this event diffrent schools and people raise money by achieving tasks. For example, our school are going to were spots and who ever weres the most spots wins.

  19. Bear wood primary school children in need!

    Bear wood primary school are trying to raise money. The whole of bear wood school are going to dress as some thing spotty and can bring 50p or more but if you don’t bring it it doesn’t matter because you will be wearing something spotty too. Mrs Hadley are deputy head teacher called us all into a assembly and said on Friday you can all wear something spotty and if you want to bring 50p or more to school so that we can give it to children in need! And please give some money in everybody please. Thank You!!!!!!!!!

  21. Children in need is a charity in Britain where people donate money for the kids that are unfortunate. In children in need the whole of Britain starts to be spotty. and everybody knows that who is the bear that always appears in children in need PUDSEY BEAR!!!!!!!!!

  22. Tonight JLS are preforming on the children in need show. (Jls are a band who came 2nd in the x-factor in the year 2008)
