Next week we will be reading ‘Peace At Last’ to the children and discussing different noises they can hear in the environment. Discuss with your child what noises they can hear around the house.

Parents are invited to our phonic sessions next week.  Your attendance is vital at this session.  We shall be demonstrating a phonics lesson to you (so you can see how your child is taught in the classroom), and we will also be talking to you about how you can support your child at home.

These sessions shall be as follows:

Class RS – Tuesday 25th September 2012 – 9am

Class RD – Wednesday 26th September 2012 – 9am

Everybody has settled into Reception brilliantly. Children are becoming more confident and independent in the classroom and forming friendships with their peers.  Well done Reception!

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all new children and parents to Reception!

Throughout the year parental involvment is vital for every child’s success.  We expect parents to support their children every night; reading your child a story, practising their new phonic sound with them and how to form the letter correctly, ensuring your child can write their name (with a capital letter at the start and all the rest lower case) and practising counting and numbers with your child.

All members of our team are here to help you with any concerns or questions you may have.  Feel free to talk to us before or after school.
