Year 1 found some shrinking spray in the classroom and they decided they would take this spray over to forest school so they could shrink themselves and become Tom Thumb. Over in forest school the children made their own adventure with their own mini characters that they had. They had lots of fun and came up with some fantastic ideas.

Year 1 were given a cardboard box and using their knowledge and understanding of castles in previous lessons they had to build their own. Can you name the different parts of a castle ? 
Year 1 had a fabulous day at Wonderland, seeing some of our favourite stories brought to life. We had lots of fun exploring and meeting the Mad Hatter.
After learning about the story of Cinderella, we are hard at work weaving a dress that shows how she transformed from a poor girl to a princess
Year 1 have designed and created different houses using different equipment. The aim of this experiment is to construct a house that will not blow down when the big bad wolf comes. Children made their houses out of straw, bricks, cardboard and lego. 
Today in talk for writing 1C had to interview The Three Little Pigs.They came up with their own questions to ask The Three Little Pigs.
How did you get rid of the wolf?
Where did you hide?
How did you feel when your house blew down?
Why were you not scared when you were in the brick house?
How would you answer these questions?
All the year 1 staff would like to say a massive thank you to all parents that helped make Elmers. All the children had fun making them… I’m sure the adults did to.
It had finally stopped raining so 1C were able to do PE outside. They learnt how to dribble correctly using their finger tips. What other steps do you need to remember when dribbling?
Year 1 you have been taking good care of your plants look how fast they are growing. I can’t wait until they start growing some tomatoes. Can you spot your plant?
