Today all the children in 1S worked really hard to use tens and ones to make numbers to 40. Keep up the good work children!

Year One have been learning about positional language.  We took our learning outside and they had to find the missing items. Can you give directions to find the globe?

Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mothers in 1S we hope you have a relaxing day.

1S came up with some wonderful suggestions on how to improve the school environment. We will try our best to follow them and make our school clean and safe for all children.

Siptain ‘The Papaya that spoke story makes me feel hungry’

1S using text, images and graphics to create posters. 

We made our gold coins out of clay.  The clay was rolled out like bread dough, then we took small pieces off to make round balls which we then flattened.  Using lollipop sticks we marked our coins with a pattern. Finally we painted them a golden yellow colour.

At the end of a hard day, year 1 like to pair up and read each other stories from our book corner, some children make up their own stories.  They are all getting in to the pirate theme. We hope you like our new book corner.  What is your favourite story?
