Reception have been reading about caterpillars and butterflies, so we used the natural materials in the forest to make our own pictures.

We used sticks to tap, scrape, bang and make music. We sang songs to the music we made.

We built the stick house from the 3 little pigs story.

We measured sticks against our arm, picked to correct number of  leaves and made a magic wand. We turned Mrs Dix into a frog. 

Nursery used their investigation powers to find interesting things in the forest.

We went on a hunt for the bugs in our story around the forest, then we looked for the places real bugs can hide. We found lots!
