Spider’s Web
At Forest School, we listened to a story about spiders. The main event in the story was the spider weaving his web, so we decided to try and make a spider’s web.
Special Visitor
Nursery had a special visitor to Forest School…..
it was a frog. Everyone was very excited by this. We used some wonderful vocabulary to describe the frog.
Games
Year Four were challenged to invent a game using only the materials around them. We had a variety of games. For example, we had hopscotch, noughts and crosses, hook a willow hoop on the tree, target shooting and mini Olympics. The above picture demonstrates mini Olympics. Firstly, you have to negotiate the logs. Then jump over the water tray. Next you need to crawl under the wooden arch and finally dash between the sticks.
Journey Sticks
After six weeks at Forest School, we made Journey Sticks. The objects on the sticks had a special meaning or purpose for the children.
