On Thursday we spent a small amount of time  pruning the hedgerow  so we would have some dry wood for a camp-fire next week.

On a bitterly cold day at Forest School we decided to keep warm by cooking some soup and hot chocolate.

Reception had fun making creatures out of snow!

Nursery had a wonderful time exploring ice at Forest School.

What words can we use to describe the ice?

We enjoyed working in teams to make a shelter.

The children wanted to make a pizza and cook it on a campfire.

This week in Reception we have been making medals because we are going for goals!

What tools have you used?

Today we did a carousal of activities  involving water.

The first task was to observe the splash of the water.  The children commented that the water went into ripples and waves.

Another task was to explore bubbles

Children enjoyed pointillism  so much they asked to do it  with mud.
