Today we worked together to make a tepee shelter using sticks, rope and tarpaulin.  Then the shelter was complete we told each other stories.

Its been a strange day at Calthorpe Haven!

This morning when I was doing my risk assessment  when I noticed some strange footprints, weird noises from the shed, a small gap in the fence and a note from Dinosaur D. It was so scary! I had to enlist  the help of Year 3 to explore and  excavate  the site. We  found dinosaur bones, fossils and a dinosaur claw but I think its time we  called in the experts.

I will keep you in touch with any additional findings or strange occurrences.

Today we spend time whittling wood. Firstly, we started with a  potato peeler. After that  we moved onto sheath knives once we had demonstrated safe practice.

Sadly, Rosie  lost her house in the strong winds last night. She was so upset when we found her this morning in the woodland.  We felt so sorry for Rosie that we decided to work together as a team to build her a brand new home.

Rosie loves her new home and is very grateful for your help!
