Morning Challenge by Sian

In our morning challenge we used the sticks to make a chocolate bar wrapper.  It had to be bright and bold to achieve the challenge.  Mine had greens, blacks, pinks and reds.  The shape was a triangle.  Some of the others were squares and rectangle with different colours.

If you designed a chocolate bar wrapper what would yours look like?

Numeracy by Vanita, Nathan and Ariana

Over the past week we have been doing a favor for Cadburys world by doing market research to find out Bearwood’s favourite chocolate bar. We asked questions like how many calories would you like in your chocolate bar? Or how much fat would you like in your chocolate bar? Then we got our data in tally charts then made frequency charts, bar charts ,picture charts it depends on the question. If  you were doing calories you would do a frequency chart or the  flavour would be a bar chart or a picture chart for the flavour of the chocolate bar.

Literacy by Sofina and Jaiden

In literacy for four days we have been making persuasive leaflet about Children in need and Pudsey bear to show why you should donate for the children in need. We have been working in our topic places to make the leaflets altogether. We have been working extremely hard since Monday to Thursday, we have gathered lots of information for our leaflets and they are all nearly finished. We have added the pictures to the leaflets to make them amazingly vibrant. We have been writing these down in our literacy books on how it went everyday we wrote on the netbooks on Microsoft word and publisher. Remember to show your spots today and let’s try and raise lots. Remember the class that has raised the most money gets the little Pudsey bear, so far England has raised more than a outstanding £600 million pounds already!!

A sneak peak at next weeks numeracy.

Next week, we are going to learn the Year 4 method to divide. In preparation, play this game to be super confident and ready for your learning.

Also, four new arrows have been put up in your classroom.

Can you find them? Which colour shows you the Year 4 methods to divide?

The first five people to give me the answer on the blog can come and see me for a sticker 🙂

Chocolate Tasting

This afternoon we began to taste different chocolates.  We used our learning on our tastebuds to refine our tasting skills and decide what we like, don’t like and why.  It was a brilliant lesson and we enjoyed working together as a year group.  We enjoyed learning and using lots of new words to describe our senses.

Which chocolate did you prefer and why?
