3M habitat investigation.
3M today went to Calthorpe Haven to investigate and find all the different habitats that were there. We found lots of creatures but we didn’t see any animals. The creatures we found were worms, ants, red beetles d slugs.
These creatures were spotted in different habitats such as birds nest, under leaves, logs and a birds nest at the top of a tree. There were so many creatures and habitats they were so amazing and wonderful.

Tarpaulin fun
First we were split in to groups of 8 then we were given the challenge of turning the tarpaulin over without stepping on the grass. Janis decided to share his ideas and tell us how we could do it. We all went to the side of the tarpaulin and held on to it and after three we jumped.
When we were jumping we had to make sure we were using our relationship brain power and working as a team. Finally we turned over the tarpaulin and we felt tired and amazed that we had completed the challenge. We didn’t give up and we were Resilient.

Mrs Moanalot text map.
This week in Literacy we have been learning how to be persuasive! We pretended we were travel agents and we had to persuade people to visit a beautiful, luxury beach.
We have learnt some new persuasive sentences these are without a doubt, it goes without saying and I’m sure you will agree. We had to make sure that we used some of these in our paragraphs when we were travel agents.
Today was exciting because we got to look at a new text map, in the lesson we looked at letters and their structure. Today Mrs Moanalot wrote a letter to the councillor to tell him all about the rubbish in her village.
We all really enjoy doing the text map because we git to make up actions so we could remember the structure of a letter.
Watch our video and see what you think. Can you pick out the persuasive sentences?
