Today in literacy we had a battle when we performed our text map.

We have been looking at what makes a good performance. We have watched performances by lots of different poets and created our own wish list for being great performers. We used the poem ‘ I’m walking with my iguana’ and we created our own animal.

On Tuesday we went to Egypt we had to make a passport and get a visa or else we wouldn’t be allowed into Egypt. It was fun because we went on the boat it was so bumpy and funny. Also we saw Egypt it was dusty and sandy all the children had so much fun on the boat, the sea was shimmering beautifully, we saw black, dark caves and pyramids.

On the way home we used some Egyptian money to buy a postcard and we wrote to our families to tell them Ll about what we had seen on our trip to Egypt.

When we finally arrived back to school it was a lot cooler here because in Egypt the weather was very hot and sunny. Have a look at the photographs and you will see us on our adventure.

In literacy today we worked in a team to perform a poem about an iguana. It was fun and exciting but it was hard to speak at the same time.

Every week you have homework which is related to topic. We have noticed that these children have put in some amazing effort, you have thought about how you will complete the activity, taken your time and above all presented your work neatly and in lots of different ways.

We wonder whether you can puts lots of effort into your work and earn a place in the hall of fame.
