Today we have been looking at different celebrations and how they make us feel. We designed some cards for different occasions.

Last week we visited Birmingham Mac to watch ‘Kipper’s Snowy Day’. The children had a wonderful time. It was lovely to see all the things they enjoyed in their homework this morning .

Today we had a visitor in to talk to us about how Bonfire night was different when our parents and grandparents were young. We had lots of questions to ask!

Today we explored further the life of Guy Fawkes through drama. We visited York, Spain and London!

Here are a few pictures from our bonfire at Calthorpe Haven. We enjoyed listening to the sounds the fire made and the smell. The hot chocolate was delicious!

Today we went back in time to the night that Guy Fawkes tried to carry out the gunpowder plot. We joined in with role play then asked lots of thoughtful questions about the Gunpowder plot.

We had lots of fun learning about the Great Fire of London at Year 2s museum this week.

Last week Year 1 enjoyed their first library visit of the year. We heard a funny story about a school of monsters and got to choose some books to bring back to school for class reader.
