[slideshow]Today in 1N we have been learning to understand the difference between push and pull. We had a carousal of activities, the first activity was to make a moving push car using small cereal boxes, cotton reels and straws. The second activity was to make a pull along car using cereal boxes, cotton reels, straws and string. The third activity was to experiment with a car ramp to test the force of push. Today in 1N one of our children have celebrated their birthday.  The child brought in lots of differnt types of fruits including, bananas, grapes, apples, pears and strawberries.  Yum, Yum please take a look![slideshow]

[slideshow]Our topic for this half term is ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. We have made our role-play area into a jungle with lots of different animals. Please take a look, but beware of those dangerous animals lurking in the trees.

Today in Plan, Do and Review 1S have been cooking fairy cakes. They learned all about the ingredients and each had a go at stirring and weighing the mixture and having a go at cracking eggs into the mixture. They also learned how the mixture changed into a cake once cooked.[slideshow]

[slideshow]In this weeks Plan, Do and Review 1S have been decorating their boxes ready for the ‘Shoe Box’ project.  Next week they will be bringing in objects from home to put in their special boxes.  Children will then be paired up with a child from reception to talk about all the exciting and important objects in their box.

[slideshow]Today in Plan Do and Review we have been dancing with streamers and pom poms and dancing to all different types of music including Bulgarian music. We have also been in the role-play area which is now a pirate theme. Please take a look!

Today in Plan-Do-Review I did some sewing. It was my first time I did sewing. Today I was sewing a Finger Puppet. I made a Pirate as our topic is “Pirates”. I also used felt for my pirates hat and on top of the hat was a skull and crossbones. My pirate was a happy pirate.

Today I put this Pirate jigsaw puzzle together all by myself.  As we are learning about Pirates.  I really enjoy doing jigsaws and this Pirate jigsaw is my favourite one.  I was so pleased with myself when I put all the pieces together and finished the Pirate jigsaw.

Today I was a pirate. To be a great pirate I needed to make myself a pirate flag. On my flag I put on a skull face with cross and bones. I had so much fun making my pirate flag.

Today in Plan-Do-Review I had a go at sewing. It was my first time doing this. I was really careful using the needle and I also used different material and I also used buttons too. I had so much fun doing sewing today.
