Lego Movie Making by Yousuf

The genre of our film is adventure.  The main plot is about two pirates having a battle on a ship. We added the news effect to make it look like an item of news.

In order to create our film we had to use our persistence powers, creativity power, planning power and team work.

During this course we have developed skills in: using a digital camera, using a mac book, using a memory stick and  building with Lego.

Scratch Programming

Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art — and share your creations on the Internet.

As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.

Click on the images of our University creations and it will re-direct you to the Scratch website where you can have a look at our work.

Experimental Science

Today we have been learning about forces.  We made a paper aeroplane because we wanted to investigate how to use a push force on an aeroplane.  We learnt that the aeroplane gets pulled down by gravity so Mustafaa showed us how to push it slowly.

Simran, Mustafaa and Amrit managed to hit the red spot.

By Callum and Mustafaa

We looked at different parachutes and we worked in groups to make our own parachute.  We created, tested then adapted our parachutes to try and make them stay in the air longer.  We all made great changes and improved our designs.

Alien Invasion, by David, Justin, Dylan and Meshach

This story is about:

Firstly, the family were going for a night out to the cinema but then there was an alien space ship………

What happened in the process?

It started as, Dylan, made a Lego road design, because he was interested in roads. Then, a boy called David decided to take a light up toy house. The boy with the golden touch, Dylan, decided to combine the road and the house, to make a mansion with a driveway. He, at home, decided to make the truck and the alien probe, and David made the other vehicle. Then Justin started to take the pictures while David and Dylan moved the Lego pieces. Then we used Windows Movie Maker to put the entire movie together.
