Zip Wiring

Tonight we learnt how to use the zip wire with Debbie.  This was our special treat for sleeping straight through on Monday night.

As you can see we forced ourselves to keep having a go!

Fire and Shelter Building by Sian

Today we excitedly made a fire and a shelter.   Many of us enjoyed this activity but the smoke from the fire annoyed some.

To make the fire we used sticks, old flower pods and pinecones. As we did this we slowly made up a poem.

I enjoyed doing this and my job was to find the sticks and pinecones.

To make the shelter we first made the main model and cover it with sticks.  We then covered them with leaves to make it waterproof. Miss then checked if it was waterproof and secure.

Do you know the three elements you need to create a fire?

Pond Dipping by Jada and Amara

In the afternoon we went pond dipping. Firstly we had to walk all the way in the scorching sunshine and we strutted with our friends.  Finally we arrived and Debbie and Gareth showed us how to pond dip with very fancy equipment.  We had a net and two plastic containers.

Our group found lots of creatures that live in the canal.  Guess what?  We found a woodlouse that lives in the sea!  Nathan’s group found a scorpion and it looked orange.  It breathed out of its tail!

I liked pond dipping because we got to splash the net in the water and we found amazing creatures that we did not know existed.

We have to go now because we are going to learn how to zip wire!!!

All about playtime by Hammaad.

We got into the field and then starting playing around.   Some of the year 4’s were playing on the adventure  playground. Me and my friend’s were playing football we won 12-3. After breakfast we went to play again.  was going to to go outside but i am busy writing this blog post. Everyone was enjoying the sun and got 2 hours of play. Everybody enjoyed it but we want to play again.
