Oh No It Isn’t!

Next half term we are going to write and perform a pantomime to KS 2. It’s going to be absolutely brilliant, I can’t wait! Have you ever been to a pantomime? Do you know the names of any pantomimes? What type of characters, settings and problems are there in pantomimes?

We will also be going to the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton to watch the pantomime Aladdin!

English: We are going to be investigating the key features of a pantomime this week, so it would be really helpful if you reminded yourself of the key characters, events, words and phrases and settings that you might find in a pantomime. Also see if you can learn how to spell pantomime.

Numeracy: After half term we are going to looking at division: what it’s useful for, how knowing times tables help, what to woth remainders and how to divide using the chunking method. Click on the link to remind yourself of the method.

Look for adverts, websites and information about pantomimes to find out: What’s on and where, price of tickets, the history of pantomime, typical costumes and scenery.

Bring all your research with you on Tuesday 2nd November.
