As part of year 5s topic this half term we are learning about archeologists and Romans. Today we were archeologists digging for hidden treasures at Calthorpe.

Yesterday year 5B put all their hard work on display for their parents.

Y5 took part in a reading quiz this week, they competed against local schools and came out on top! Well done year 5.

Today year 5 made their volcanoes explode for parents. Have a look at the children causing eruptions.

Year 5 have been making posters to show changes.

As a start to our topic changes, we went out on the playground and made coke explode using mentos mints.

Performed in assembly in front of KS2. The School and Mrs Sibley are very proud of their efforts.

Every Tuesday we have been working with a visitor to do some drama relating to our topic ‘Emergency.’ This has included a group dance, story telling using drama and acting out emergency scenarios.

This week we really enjoyed choosing our own groups to rehearse and make up our own dance. We performed our routines to the class, we made sure that all 4 emergency services were included. These were the; coast guards, ambulance, police and fire services.
