Coming Alive Poem

In Guided Reading today some of Morpurgo chose to write a poem independently about our new arrivals! Their poem is so fantastic we wanted to share it with everyone. Please let us know what you think.

We thought our chick would have big fluffy ears

And never be scared or have any fears.

We hoped our chick would be yellow and cute,

But instead it is grey and minute.

Now it’s sitting there feeling proud

And still it sits there cheeping loud.

The other eggs are wobbling

And one has stuck his head out and is breathing.

We all huddle up to see the new born,

We hope they hatch before Friday dawn.
