Pope Benedict comes to Birmingham

Today, Pope Benedict visited Birmingham. He travelled along the Hagley Road to the Birmingham Oratory in his Pope-moblie. He was cheered by thousands of  spectators. Personally, it was very exciting to watch such as historic event.

Did anyone else go and see the Pope?  What did you think?

I like the way Dermot O’Leary leaves a long pause before announcing the winner. It creates tension and suspense.

A dinosaur arrives at Bearwood Primary

In Writers workshop we are going to  write a story about a dinosaur arriving at Bearwood Primary.

Question you may need to think about:

  • What will you do?
  • What does he look like?
  • How will you feel?
  • What will you say to the dinosaur?
  • What will do during the day?
  • How will you look after your dinosaur?

You need to consider how you are going to start and end your story.  At home tonight  tell someone your story.
