Today in Plan, Do, Review the children chose the theme, ‘Sea Creatures’. They made water colour pictures of the animals that live in the sea and they researched on the computer all the unusual animals that live in the sea.
A small group of children made a giant sea monster from old cardboard boxes and lots and lots of masking tape. While others played with the sea creature animals making up their own stories. Also, some made masks. Can you guess who they are?

Today we read & followed instruction with our parents and made Fun Red Nose activities.[slideshow]
In Plan, do, review today the children planned activities around the theme ‘The Jungle’ that they chose last week. They took their own photographs of their work and their friends.

Today in plan, do and review we had the I.C.T. Club, where some children went on to a new programme called ‘Voki’ where they chose ‘Talking Avtar’ which talked back to them on whatever they typed into the computer.
2nd Activity was where the children were the Outstanding Teachers and delivered lessons with a lesson plan, which included Numeracy and Phonics.
3rd Activity was the Estate Agents where children used boxes to design a house that they were going to sell in a group with persuasive language, so that the buyer is interested in purchasing the property i.e, enormous swimming pool, 3 large bedrooms and a massage chair. Children also chose the price of the property.

Today in plan, do and review the children have been 3D Designers where they have made a 3D park, a castle, a friendship box, a Chinese scroll, a play script and a house. Other children were in the theatre where they made their own puppets and backgrounds for the theatre. Some children were Scientists where they were experimenting with liquids and solids and using syringes, microscopes, torches, Petri dish and magnifying glasses.[slideshow]

We have been learning about money this week, counting out coins, making 10p using different coins.
Today the children planned to make a pasta salad. They chopped up onions, red, green and yellow peppers, tomatoes and a cucumber. They then sat at the table and ate it with their friends.
Some of the other children celebrated Chinese New Year by finding out what year they were born and what animal represented that year. I’m the year of the Snake and Mrs Lowndes is the year of the Dog. They also made mask of their Chinese animal.

Today the children have made a puppet theatre where they used puppets to act out their stories. Some children were in the factory where they made cars and a friendship box out of cardboard and other children were in the maxi fun making skateboards and cars. They had lots of fun.[slideshow]
Today in plan, do and review the children were planning altogether as a whole group and putting their ideas on a long strip of paper. Then the children walked around looking at other children’s ideas. The children try and use the words because, and, why to plan their ideas. They have a chance in turn to speak to the rest of the class out loud.
Today some children were clay designers where they made pots, dinosaurs, cups, lamps and also writing their own name in clay. Other children made models with the lego, others made a car out of cardboard. While other children acted out different characters in a restaurant and also some children were in the music studio using different instruments.[slideshow]
