As part of our ‘Growing’ topic Year One made some delicious soup. They carefully chopped some carrots, tomatoes, potatoes and onions (which made some of the children cry) and put them into a big metal pot.

They also made some bread to have with their soup which needed a lot of kneading and made some of the children’s hands ache.

After the bread and the soup were cooked the children ate them and said that they were very yummy.

1A went to visit St Mary’s church in Bearwood. They asked the Vicar a lot of questions about the church. Why people come there? what it was made from?
The children then had the chance to have a good look around at all the different things such as the water font, the altar and the beautiful stained glass windows.

The whole school today have been dancing in the hall to the Chaa-Chaa-Char-Slide for 6 hours, taking it in turns. Please take a look at our pictures we had lots of fun.

Our topic this term is Ready, Steady Grow. 1N have changed their role-play into a Florist. We get to be shopkeepers and customers. Our role-play is colourful and we can buy lots of flowers and fill in lots of shopping lists. Please take a look at our pictures.

In 1N we planted carrot and tomato seeds into soil ready to grow our own vegetables. After we had planted them we watered them and put them by the window so they were by the sunlight. Please take a look at our pictures. Please check back to see how they have grown.
