Tell me a tale

During our final half term in Nursery our topic is called “Tell me a tale”.

We will be looking at many of the traditional tales and doing lots of exciting activities to support our learning.

Please support your child over the half term holiday by sharing stories and getting to know the characters.

Top tip: if you don’t have these books at home you could visit the local library or watch the stories being read on YouTube!

Racing on with number recognition

To help us to recognise our numbers we have worked hard decorating our new number tree (with a little help from our parents and grandparents)….

Now we can practise our numbers as we ride and count our race track laps as we go!

Bye bye butterfly

After watching our caterpillars turn into butterflies it was time to let them go.

We have enjoyed having them in nursery and hope they enjoy their new life in the big world.

Time for a change…

Take a look at how our caterpillars are changing…

They are starting their long sleep inside their chrysalis…

Now all we can do is wait …….we wonder what they will look like when they wake up?

In the Garden

Our new Half-term topic after the Easter holiday will be ‘In the Garden’.

We will be looking at life outside in the open air and exploring the natural world around us.

We hope to become nature detectives in our search for mini beasts as well as great gardeners by growing plants and vegetables.

In preparation please spend some time outside with your children and explore together, we would love to talk about your adventures when we return to school.
